International Logboat Regatta 2026
The 11th International Logboat Regatta will take place from 24 to 26 July 2026 in Wangen am Bodensee. This year's organisers are the Förderverein Museum Fischerhaus Wangen, the Baden-Württemberg State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments and the Secretariat of the International Coordination Group, with the support of many other partners.
We are looking forward to another exciting regatta this year, with interesting encounters and lively participation from international and regional teams and many visitors.
General conditions
Competition procedure
Two logboats are available for the regatta. As each logboat handles differently and in order to create a level playing field for the teams, each team will complete one lap in each of the two logboats. The times will be added together and the team with the shortest time will win. Each team will receive a safety briefing before the regatta and will have the opportunity to take a test run. Details regarding the start, route, etc. will be announced at the latest upon registration on the day of the competition.
Teams
- There are five people in each logboat per competition round
(if a team consists of more than five people, substitutions are allowed).
- All participants in the regatta must be able to swim.
- Participation is possible from the age of 12 when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Registration
For organisational reasons, the number of teams is limited to 14.
Advance registration is now open at info@palafittes.org.
Accommodation and meals
Upon registration, each participant will receive food and drink vouchers that can be redeemed at the neighbouring “Strandfest” organised by the Musikverein Wangen. In addition, a communal breakfast will be offered on Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Wangen Volunteer Fire Brigade building.
There is a campsite in Wangen where a number of pitches have been pre-reserved. Please quote the keyword ‘Einbaumrennen’ when making your reservation. Reservations can be cancelled up to 14 days in advance.
There are also various holiday apartments in the municipality and other campsites in the neighbouring municipalities.
Each team that stays overnight will receive a small allowance for accommodation. The exact amount of this allowance cannot be calculated at present, but will be announced as soon as possible.
