11:00 am – A research journey with all the senses
Discover the secrets of the pile dwellings!
This workshop, specially designed for children aged 6 to 10, invites them to experience the Neolithic Age up close. Together, the young participants will travel around 6,000 years into the past and playfully discover the world of pile dwellings:
How did people live back then? What insights do archaeological finds provide? And what stories do the remains from the lakes tell us?
Through active participation, exploration and discovery in nature, history comes to life – an exciting adventure for curious explorers.
Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
2.00 pm – Guided tour of the site
Experience the archaeological site at Kathreinkogel on an expert-led tour and gain insights into current research and historical contexts.
4.00 pm – End of the event
Join us as we delve into times gone by and discover what remains of them today.
