World Heritage Day Austria

Since 2021, the Austrian World Heritage Sites, in cooperation with the Austrian UNESCO Commission and the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport, have been jointly organising the annual ‘Austrian World Heritage Day’ under the motto ‘UNESCO World Heritage is more...’. On this day, the twelve World Heritage Sites in Austria bring the World Heritage in Austria to life in a special way. Special events and activities – online and on site – offer unusual insights into familiar sights, open up new perspectives and convey an impression of the work and efforts involved in protecting and preserving these unique places.
